Hey,

I earn more than enough for the sponsorship requirements, but I have some very large medical bills that I cannot afford without help. Does anyone know if I can sponsor my fiance's K1 visa application if I am on medicaid?

Yes, you can. The rest is irrelevant. No one sees your medical bills. All that matters is your 1040, W2, and letter from the employer.

I was just reading the I-134 instructions and it only mentions a copy of your last tax return if you are self-employed, other wise you only submit in duplicate, a statement from your bank and employer. I am believer of never having too much evidence but I was curious where info about submitting the 1040 and W2 comes from? I am presently helping someone through the visa process and it has been a few years since I went through this. Thanks!
