I'm filling out my fiance's DS-156 and I have some questions.

14. National Identification Number - What is this?

20. Name and Address of Present Employer or School - She just resigned her job and will be done this week do I still need to fill this out or leave it blank (Keep in mind she is working in Jordan but is a citizen of Philippines and is interviewing in Phil)

22. When Do You Intend To Arrive In The U.S.? - Give an estimated time or leave it blank?

Barcode - Do I put our case number here?

25. Name and Telephone Numbers of Person in U.S. Who You Will Be Staying With or Visiting for Tourism or Business - This is for a K1 do I fill this in or leave it blank?

26. How Long Do You Intend To Stay in The U.S.? - How should this question be answered?

Thanks in advance.

Please refer to this link for sample form of filled DS-156 http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-156.pdf. If she is presently unemployed, just put "none". You can put an estimated date of arrival if it is known and don't put anything on the barcode. For no. 25; it should be your address (petitioner) and contact number. For no. 26; I put "permanently" and purpose was "marriage and relocation to the US". Hope this helps. Goodluck.

14. National Identification Number - What is this?

I left mine blank.

20. Name and Address of Present Employer or School - She just resigned her job and will be done this week do I still need to fill this out or leave it blank (Keep in mind she is working in Jordan but is a citizen of Philippines and is interviewing in Phil)

Never leave spaces blank on American forms. Put NONE if she is unemployed.

22. When Do You Intend To Arrive In The U.S.? - Give an estimated time or leave it blank?

I put in month and year.

Barcode - Do I put our case number here?

I left that blank, figure a machine will encode that.

25. Name and Telephone Numbers of Person in U.S. Who You Will Be Staying With or Visiting for Tourism or Business - This is for a K1 do I fill this in or leave it blank?

She will be staying with you, I believe. Put your residential address where you will both live.

26. How Long Do You Intend To Stay in The U.S.? - How should this question be answered?

I put Rest of our Lives.

Thanks in advance.

I hope that helps a little.

for question 26, the visa service I used put 90 days, my understanding is that the K1 visa is only good for 90 days. after that requires a change in status and at that time you go to perminate residance. to say longer then 90 days on the ds-156 and applying for a k1 visa they might reject and direct you to a diffrent visa type

I have an update.

The CO did not like the 90 day answer.

Apparently they like the cute romantic answers like, “For the rest of my life” or “ Until the moon falls from the sky”.

They asked my fiancée to change it during the interview.
