am not sure we have a good to go case, my interview is on SEP-28 and am freaking out

Here are some details about us

I am the Egyptian lady 23 years old, and hes the American 35 years old

i got my college degree this year (jumped through a few jobs while studying, and currently unemployed), he has a decent job (in Bio Tech. field)

Neither of us have children.

Both of us have never been married

Am a Muslim, hes an atheist but converted for my family approval

He met my family 3 times wen he visited (unfortunately theres a proof for only one time)

Hes fluent in english, and i'd say am pretty good, and i speak fluent arabic of-course

he visited 3 times Feb 2010, then i applied for a tourist visa and was rejected, he came in Aug 2010, was supposed to come in Feb 2011 but we had the revolution, then he came in Aug 2011 for my birthday.

I have his itineraries printed to show when did he visit

i also have some pictures of us in different cities with one picture of him and my mom (printed from the xbox, lol)

i have a promising ring that he gave me, a receipt from western union that he transferred money to me before (am not sure if its a good idea to take this with me)

i also have flight tickets for when we traveled last year together to a different city

so is there anything i should be aware of, or something that i should be taking with me at the time of the interview

Thanks in advance for your help

I'd say you're totally fine. You've met more than once in the last two years and it sounds like you've got a decent amount of evidence that your relationship is legit. You both speak English, and as far as I know they can't discriminate on any religious differences. Continue keeping your scraps of evidence, like those boarding passes and the receipt from the ring. I kept my text messages and call logs, hotel receipts, all of it. Make sure you know everything about your beau however, there will be a test!

When you guys have your interview, if he can handle the trip, see if you can get him to accompany you. My fiance came with me to mine and they didn't even look at the evidence or ask very many questions. Having the fiance there REALLY helps. Good luck!

Well, everything seems fine except for this denied visa. This is something that may overlooked. What were the circumstances? Did u tell them u were going to see him or not? For example, if u applied for the visa after u met, and u said in the interview that u r just visiting the US for tourism, then they already caught u on a lie, and it won't be good for u.

So, may be if u give more details about the visa denial u can get a better answer.

I am Egyptian too by the way.

unfortunately he cant do that since he was here on Aug 25th and left on the 29th, the ticket is really expensive and he wouldn't be able to get a few days off, we'd have done that if it was late in October or something, but he was here for my birthday.

Well, if you mentioned that to them at the visa interview. Then that shouldn't be a problem (in my opinion)

do u think i should take the conversion to Islam letter to the interview?
It is better to bring these things and not need them than to need them and not have them.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I agree....I would take it all and if you need it, then you have it. Any extra evidence in a K1 can help. Being denied a tourist visa because you didnt have strong ties to bring you back isnt a bad thing, and from what you stated you told them the truth. Just be calm and be completely honest with everything. Best of luck and let us know how the interview went.....Inshallah all will be fine.
