Hi there, just a quick question. We are into the 3rd month of waiting for USCIS approval and I would like to know if I change my job if it would have any adverse affects on the visa processing, either from the USCIS or the embassy. Do I need to fill out change of address paperwork. I only ask as it would be different from the original Biographic info I supplied when we started this whole process.

Thanks

Ray

No you are fine as the beneficiary, especially at USCIS stage, as its all about the petitioner.

You will get a chance to mention your new job on the DS Forms that you will fill out at the embassy stage.

Good luck.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

The job of the foreign beneficiary has absolutely -0- to do with the visa. You are not even required to have a job and the information you gave on the G-325a is for historical data only. You will update it on your next one for the AOS. Do whatever you like job wise.

"historical data" in this case means that if your name is "Jodie Aussie" and the background check turns up that a person named "Jodie Aussie" is an international terrorist, they will begin comparing your history with that of terrorist "Jodie Aussie" When the two do not even come close to being a match the will determine (or at least it will help determine) that you are not THE Jodie Aussie wanted by Interpol. What jobs you may take AFTER you submit the petition are not really "historical" and they do not really care.

Hello, what if there is no current job at the time of filling DS forms & at the time of interview, what is the "right" word / term?
