Is it a good idea to have the judge that marries a couple to write a letter of validation that they have married the couple. Is it a good idea to get friends and family to write letters along with other officials to prove that the couple is real and married.

It is also a good idea to send a copy of the marriage certificate.

What kind of validation do I and my wife need from the judge that marries us and what other signatures do we need to have or letters to prove that we are a real couple? Does it help to have signatures of police officers and Sheriffs or any elected officials?

The fist thing you need is a marriage certificate, the letters from friend and neighbors is secondary.

I understand that it is a good idea to have the marriage license. what concerns us is that in the judges office it might be considered different than the church. We know that we will be married just the same but how to have proof for being married in the judges office. Also what kind of pictures do we need to have and what are some other things that we can do to prove that the marriage is real and not fake or staged?

all kind of pictures showing you both, with friends, family and different places, call records, plain boarding passes, everything you have to show that you have an ongoing relationship. It doesn't matter if you didn't have a religious ceremony as long as you are married.

The judge's signature on your marriage contract is a valid proof that you two are married. Same thing with the witnesses', if any.

The judge is the person performing the marriage. No need to get an affidavit. Without him there would be no marriage certificate. A valid marriage certificate is proof that you've legally married.

Focus on showing a bona fide relationship with your spouse.
