My hubby and I were just looking over the form he needs to fill out for the medical and it asks if he has ever had an STD. About 7 years ago he had chlamydia but that is obviously all taken care of now. Will this be grounds for them to deny his visa? All worried now. Ugh.

But will answering YES on the form mean they'll just question him about it and then let it go or could it cause trouble?

I dont think it will be grounds for denial even if you answer yes. I mean its the past. its not like its a criminal record where crimes were committed. However, you can still answer how you want to on the form.

His chlamydia is cured so he is not at risk of infecting others so don't lie about it. He will not test positive if he is cured. its the most commonly reported std in united states.

Always tell the truth...no issue in this case...heck, even HIV isn't a problem any longer where it used to result in a rejection

So the if the person is positive on any of these diseases will have his visa denied?

Thanks
