Hey guys, its my first time writing on here but I'm starting to lose faith! My hubby's case got approved on July 21st, NVC received our case on August 8th and I still haven't gotten a case number. Its been more than a month since approval. Do I need to email them a copy of my NOA2, I don't think I need to since they already received our case? Or should I just wait "20 Business Days"? HELPPP! :help:

yes, i've been calling about twice a day! I get the same answer every time, "we have received your case, please wait 15-20 business days for us to get it in the system" I think I should email them a copy of my NOA2 if i still don't have the case number by monday

It seems that recently (the last month or two) NVC is taking longer than expected to assign case numbers. Not sure if its an overflow into NVC and there is more Visa applicants than a few months past or not but if you look on VJ there are a lot of questions asking this same thing from the time they get the noa2 approval it seems to take about 6 weeks now to get case number.

They probably are loading many of the cases from USCIS into the system. We didn't wait too long for case number but as I've said the last month or so this seems to be a common question about NVC. definitely keep checking... have you spoken with an actual representative? or just the automated message? Sometimes it helps to understand the process when you speak with a live person.

Hang in there.. you will get it soon...
