Helping friend going through a K1

My wife has a friend in the Philippines who is going to meet her again fiancee soon and start doing the K1. The friend has a baby from a pinoy. From what the friend told us that she hasn't yet registered the child's birth certificate yet. The Fiancee wants her to put his name on the birth certificate as the father even though he isn't the biological father. To us this sounds like it could become a problem for them during the medical and embassy stage. We are lost at the best way to advise her on what to do. I hope their are others here that help us in what advice to give her.

Thanks

Lost? really?

The truth! She NEEDS to put the child's REAL father on the birth certificate....or can she leave it blank?

Putting the USC on the child's birth certificate will raise problems

good luck

Lost? Just weigh the value of the truth against the price of a lie.

hi,

i am a filipina ,married with american guy i have HEARD such story also when i was in philippines my thoughts to you guys is that, she cant register her son's name on her bf(not real father)because when she will go for medical and she likes to apply a k-2 visa for her son he need to undergo for DNA test(which will reveal the truth)its better to register him into his real father soon as she can.( you cant leave it blank also in the paper or application because thats questionable a person always have monther and father)if she want to bring her son to the US of A She will be needing her son b-certficate.

anyways, always be honest and truth to your self and to others, specially to the immigration people.

God bless you and your friend

It is Never a good idea to lie especially with immigration and legal documents. First If the bf will file for k2 there will be a DNA test so they can not hide the fact the child is not his.

She can register late the child and put the biological father's name or leave it blank if she wants to.

I do not have my father's name on my Birth certificate being an illigitimate child. My 2 kids who are also considered illigitimate(coz i was never married to their dad) had their father's name on their Birth certificate but i had no problem with it.

Tell ur friend to go ahead and register the child's birth and put all the honest info /datas on it..it won't hurt her.
