I think the worst thing about summer AND winter is locking up the house. Unable to open windows because it'll raise your energy bill (having the heat or a/c running). Last winter I was SO happy to finally be able to air the house out. I admit I'm a little scared of winter this year because last year I could just sit around the house but this year I SHOULD have a job (I say should because I'm currently a "temp" for an agency and have been working at the same place for almost 3 months and after 3 months where I'm temping is able to hire me on permanently as their staff - and no longer agency staff - and I'm just anxious waiting for it to happen. Will appreciate the permanency).

Dayton, Ohio here... and the W word is scaring me too I'm a Cairns,Qld boy so I haven't seen snow for a looooong time lol

Ben's been living with me here in Northern VA from Adelaide, and he actually prefers winter. I don't lol though I'm not a big fan of Virginian summer as it is, its VERY HUMID and I actually prefered summer in Adelaide XD VA feels like a swamp in the summer, and in the winter we get our piles of snow every now and then. Also bitter cold, and freezing rain :s

lol, i hate summers in Adelaide!....i don't like the heatwaves towards the end....yet i'm going to Arizona we're it gets even hotter than here and for longer, lol

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

New Jersey from Melbourne. I was wishing for snow last Christmas and boy did we get it! Now I'll be happy if I never have to use the snow blower again.

I am terrified to see how my husband is going to deal with the snow. Blizzards in the midwest are in a league of their own! He's visited during January/February. But he's never witnessed the 'stranded at work' & 'prepare your blizzard kit' sort of weather events!

Hey! My friend and I were up in Wisconsin just the other day (well barely, we crossed the border in Dubuque :D)! Snow in our area certainly is fun fun fun!

Buffalo, NY. Best thing about it is the proximity to Canada. Went from Brisbane to Tampa, FL and loved it now husband is posted up here. This winter's been mild. First snow only came on Friday which is 6 weeks later than last year when we were inundated from Thanksgiving!
