Hey Guys,

Just wanna let everyone know that my husband's visa has been approved and I have requested him to write out detail information about his interview experience as soon as he gets time. My husband told me that his interview only lasted for less than 5 minutes. Thanks everyone for all your well wishes especially NavyK & Dev.

Best of luck to everyone else who has their interview coming up soon.

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Still no update from NVC about my spouse interview date. I called as usual and just the same old story.

Navyk, did you get any update about your interview date?

Nothing yet - I am right NVC will finalize and update their system tonight and we should know on Monday. I wish you an October interview.

USA

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11

When a lot of Mumbai guys got their interview dates last week...it was around Noon to 2 pm EST when we started finding out our interview dates.

Yowza! Never send your original naturalization certificate! A photocopy of your US passport is enough to prove citizenship. Call/email the Consulate and ask, I suppose. You could also try getting a hold of USCIS.

Ohhhhhh boy! You needed to send copies of it not the real deal as you are the petitoner. I would be on the phone ASAP to see how to recover this.

I would start with USCIS and then the embassy.

I send my Naturalization certificate to get pasport and the DOS lost my Naturalization certficate and when I applied to USCIS with a copy of DOS letter, they informed me that I will have to pay the fee and I will have to take up the matter regarding recovery of the fee with DOS. And DOS didn't bother and never cared to respond to my several letters. So my advise is get with USCIS ASAP.

what is the orignal letter ?

Is it the same we got in email or will we get one in MAIL (Postal).

I just called NVC a few minutes ago and still no luck! Folks, I have another update. I will try calling again tonight and if I do not hear then my journey continues with a morning call tomorrow as well.

I started getting panicking because it has been exactly 14 days since my case got closed. I am sure there are other folks in this board who are restless as well.

Let us pray to hear some good news for each of us starting this week!
