Hello,

I have submitted the cr-1 petition for my wife and I and in the chaos I forgot to add sample emails we had sent to each other. I did submit a screen shot of the inbox and sent box showing the amout we had sent, but no actual emails. Will this be a problem? and is there a way to add them to the petition? Thank you for the help.

You can try sending something to USCIS with your case number on it but it is unlikely you will get the additional evidence married up to your petition. Just wait now

Are you referring to I-130 petition? If so, you don't need to front load those with evidence of correspondences/communication. I just send what was asked for on the instructions. No RFE's, no problems.

There is no way you can add it at this point, anything you send to USCIS unsolicited will not get matched up with your file.

Now, you will have a second chance to get it into the file before the interview because you will be able to add those sample emails with the DS-230 package. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that including those emails along with NVC required documents will likely slow things down there, however, including them ensures they are part of the file a CO will review prior to the interview.

While frontloading is not a requirement, I disagree with the point of Haruki's post. When dealing with Consulates that are that are known to have seen many instances of fraud, the interview is not the time to try and submit evidence that could have been submitted at point that preceded the interview. By the way, I'm not suggesting going to the interview empty handed, far from it.

Note to non-china visa chasers - sorry, GUZ IV is a b|tch, is better to 'front load the I-130' and submit more with the DS-230 - they rarely look at relationship evidence on interview day at GUZ IV, and the decision is usually made prior to interview day by the IV Consular Staff, to approve or not, based on WHAT'S IN THE CASEFILE. The China fellas (I am one, as well) have documented this frontloading process OVER THE YEARS, have found a new hook with the DS-230 as well (Thank You BleaWolf!) - the contents of the casefile is really really important, at GUZ IV.

IMO, front load the I-130, for a casefile bound to GUZ IV, if yer chasing after a spousal visa.
