Ohmygosh, MrsCat! I often wondered how you were!!! So nice to see some of the old crowd too. :luv:

Sorry to hear about all your challenges, Cdneh. Sending out good vibes for positive things to come. (L)

Congratulations, Colleens! I got the best painters ever from someone knocking at my door. If I could get him to come here from FL I would in a second!

All the best for your return to Canada, Treble. I hope it's everything you hope it to be.

ZOMG!! I was in an earthquake today!!!! Holy #######. I was hysterical. The whole house was swaying and the walls and the floor were moving and the chair I was sitting on was moving across the room and my fridge moved out into the kitchen and my doors are jammed and holy ####### I was scared. :(

Wow Krikit that's pretty scary. We had mild swaying of the floor and furniture but from the non-stop coverage on the news from NYC you would think it was a major disaster. By 10 p.m. I couldn't listen to a other report of "I was sititng at my desk and I started to feel my chair move, I thought it was my co-worker but it was an EARTHQUAKE!" Over and over the news replayed the same story. I knew they were scraping the bottom of the barrel when they interviewed a woman demonstrating how she was blow-drying her hair when her chair moved. ARRRG!! Now they have moved on to the immanent arrival of hurricane Irene!

Omg...so that earthquake...

It was mildly felt up here in my town in Ontario. Last year when there was an earthquake in Quebec (?) we felt that too. Last year my town had a tornado the same day. This year, the day after that earthquake, we are having tornado watches again. Kinda seeing a trend here I don't like. :(

Are you around Midland?

I'm from Midland and that happened last year too.

My mom still lives there and had felt the earthquake and had a tornado in one day. There's another tornado watch issued today too.

If someone makes t shirts, I will buy one.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

No tornados! The earthquake/tornado curse for Midland has been declared false!

Just a lot of rain...and some hail.

Hi Everyone! :) I'm a guilty party that has disappeared as well... Life has been busy.

I'm a little stressed out right now. My ROC eligibility date came up last week while I was up in Canada. I came back and some things have come up that have me financially strapped right now... It's murphy's law I guess. You save a little, go on vacation, and then the world falls apart. It doesn't look like I'll have the money to file my ROC for another 3 weeks or so. That's still only 30 days into my 90 day window, but I was really wanting to get everything out asap. Oh well, that's life. I shouldn't have put it off the way I did.

My visit up to Canada made me miss it even more... I thought it would help, but it made it worse.

I hope everyone is doing well!!

As Marilyn posted you will be fine as long as it gets there within the 90 day window so don't worry.

Nice to hear you were able to go back for a visit, anything new and exciting in Welland? I'm lucky to be able to go back every 6 weeks or so but I still find that coming back is never easy.

You guys are right, I should stop worrying. I might just tap into some other resources and send it out earlier. Otherwise, I guess it's not a big deal. It's not like I have it all prepared and ready to go anyways... I just have a desk of unsorted papers right now. I'm also stressed that I don't have enough evidence, even though my husband keeps telling me we have plenty. I think I need to stop stressing over everything! This immigration stuff still brings out the worst in me.

Welland was the same as always! This was my first trip since Christmas, but I had some more time to spend than last time, so I got to hit all the hot spots  I really wish I could make more than 1-2 trips per year, but it's hard with work and other life commitments. Every 6 weeks is great OBX! You'll have to keep me updated if anything groundbreaking happens (not holding my breath...)
