Just called NVC and still no case #!! As of tomorrow it will have been 20 business days from August 1st. I'm calling later today as well. My patience with NVC is really running out. :crying:

The day after I emailed them to request (well, demand) a case number, I got it.

I received my first NVC email this morning... Well the first one that wasnt a response to my complaints lol... It basically says that my petition is now available for further processing and for his to select an agent. I had him email the alternate format for the DS-3032 yesterday so hopefully they have received it and just havent processed it.

Should I mail them an actual ds-3032 form also?

As far as my fees I am still stuck at SIF so im hoping today or tomorrow I can pay them to avoid another long weekend wait!

The day after I emailed them to request (well, demand) a case number, I got it.

I wish I could do that but my hard copy NOA2 is in America and I am currently visiting my hubby in the UK. I left all packets, ready to go, with my mother so I could call her with the case number and she could send everything for me but that seems like it was pretty pointless now.

We were with VSC for the first step and I'm not personally certain that we have our files processed any quicker. The first time I spoke with an operator she said our file was received at NVC on 8/1 and will be worked on soon. On Monday I tried a operator and she just said it was received recently and was being worked on now, still no case number today though. We are up to 18 business days if the claim that our file was received on 8/1 was actually true.

Hopefully you get your case # soon.

I've read that they received cases in batches from the service centers. I tracked CSC cases to see how that was progressing. I was trying to get more info and insight for the people @ VSC since I didn't really track it as much. If it really means that they send in big boxes and such that maybe someone that received their case number, that mine would come soon as well. Those were the lines of thinking on that.

I didn't even attach my NOA2! Here's what I did:

I put the receipt number in the subject line, and the following text in the body:

"Petitioner Name: __

Petitioner DOB: __

Beneficiary Name: __

Beneficiary DOB: __

Our NOA2 was generated by USCIC on [Date on NOA2]. We were instructed to wait 30 days for NVC correspondence before attempting to contact NVC.

We have heard nothing in X days.

Please provide us our Case number, IIN, and Beneficiary Number as quickly as possible."

The next day I received an email saying, "This petition is now eligible for further processing." It had all our pertinent information (that I already had received from my daily call to the operator.

Maybe it was a coincidence, I don't know. Seems suspect, so I'm taking credit for the nagging :)

Ok, my I-130 was approved on July 29...NVC received my case on August 1st. I did not hear from them all month so I emailed them on Tuesday and yesterday I received an email that they received my petition and to allow them 6-8 weeks to update the information. I just called NVC today at 10:15am and spoke to a representative and she gave me my case #!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woo-hooo!!! She told me that NVC would contact me with further information. I really think emailing them helps. It took me 25 days (19 business days) to get my case #.

Good luck to all.

Same here, Noa2 on July 18th, case received by the NVC on August 1st.

We keep calling since then, they always say they received the case but didn't put it on computer, so no case number or IIN available.

They said to call back at the end of next week.

It's so long
