I find it strange that everyone who was approved between July 6th and July 27th is being told that NVC received the case on August 1st. I know for a fact they received my papers around July 15th as ours was expedited and the adjucator sent me an email that it was sent to NVC n July 13th. I think it is just the date they are being told to say :bonk:

My I-130 got transferred on 8th Aug as well along with I-129F, but they assigned a case number to my I-129F and got transferred to the embassy as well. But they haven't even touched by I-130. Not sure what they are doing with all I-130s.

You don't have your timelines for us to understand your case properly.

Generally I-129F gets administratively closed and I-130 is processed at NVC. In your case I-129F got transferred to the embassy, so you need to decide wheather you want to persue the I-129F route or not! I-130 got burried in the file of pending approvals received from USCIS.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

:) OMG :dance::dance::dance: I can't still believe I have a case number already, I just called 30 mins. ago and I the operator is asking me a lot of questions, but in the end she gave me my case number YAY! I'm so happy Thank you Lord God for hearing our prayers... So don't lose hope guys, just keep calling the nvc and pray also :D

My I-130 got approved on Jul 28th and NVC rcvd both I-130 n I-129 on Aug 8th but they assigned a case number to my I-129F and forwarded it to embassy. I called the embassy and they told me since I have an approved I -130, I-129F will be administratively closed by embassy. Not sure what to do now.

Seems like they are working on the Aug 1st files today. I just called but no number yet... anybody else??
