Im in the states now.what am I supposed to do as a K-1 holder?

Ive arrived the states on the 5th of aug.Our wedding is on the 18th of sept.Everybody is working so hard to have a great wedding ceremony.My question is what I am supposed to do now as a k-1 visa holder? just wait for marrying then apply for permanent residence and work permit ? can you help me with this pls?

You an apply for a Social Security Number now, but not much else you can do until after AOS. Relax and have fun!

thanks alot... Its not my first time here in the states.I worked in here before so I have a social security number and I m gonna focus on my wedding and have fun from now on as you said...

Advice online says to get a social security card ASAP, then get married, then take the marriage cert and the SS card back to the SS office and get it updated with the new name. Other said to get the SS card after being wed. Opinions?

Depends, does your local government require an SSN to issue a marriage license? If they don't, get the SSN after the wedding in the new name.
