I really need help on this worry.

I am the named "Alien" in this situation. My fiance and I are now applying for a K1 Visa, my Fathers name is missing on my Birth Certificate and I know nothing about him, my Mothers name and place of residence at that time is listed on the Certificate but that is all I know about her.

I was fostered at a very early age (my legal Guardians being Banardos Foster Care) but both my Foster Parents are now deceased. I am worried about putting anything misleading or confusing (unintentionaly) on any forms concerning my Parents in any way.

I would appreciate any advice about this matter from anyone who has been through or knows about this problem as such, Thankyou.

You'll have to be truthful and answer as best as you can. You should attach a separate sheet and explain everything. You will also need to show adoption papers. The agency is your legal guardian and your foster parents were never your legal guardian? Best of luck to you.

My wife's son has no father listed on his BC and we just listed None.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

you can only give the information that you actually know... explain everything else on a separate sheet and include any documents that you have that will help prove your story. the main thing is that you are completely honest

I agree with others - just explain the situation. My wife's birth certificate has "unknown" listed as the father and we just put that on the paperwork. It was no problem.

AOS (from tourist w/overstay)

1/26/10 - NOA

5/04/10 - interview appt - approved

ROC

2/06/12 - NOA date

7/31/12 - card production ordered

N-400

2/08/13 - NOA date

3/05/13 - biometrics appt

6/18/13 - interview - passed!

7/18/13 - oath ceremony
