So, I received my NOA2 approval notice last Thursday - and the hardcopy in the mail today!!! (Phew!) I was wondering if I will received a text and/or letter from NVC saying they have my case (I see a lot of people suggesting to call after 14 days) or will I get something once they send it to London? It's just a part of the process I'm confused about. I fly to Scotland to visit my fiance on Thursday and didn't know if I would miss something in the mail while I'm gone...

The letter from NVC is to inform that they sent the petition to the USEM not to inform you that they received it from the USCIS. It might take 10-15 business days to get your NVC case # and a week or two to get the letter from NVC. You can call the to get your case #.

My petition was approved on July 15th, so....thinking that I had given NVC two weeks to receive and/or process it, I called this morning to request my case number. I was told that it takes 15 BUSINESS days. So...I will wait and try again on Friday. :)

By the way....have a GREAT time in Scotland. Wish I was going, too!!! :) Don't know if you like Indian food, but if you are anywhere near Wishaw, you must go to the Pink Turban....MMmmmmm. :)

Glasgow/Edinburgh....Wishaw is pretty much in the middle of them. My fiance lives just outside of Glasgow (Coatbridge) so he took me to the Pink Turban twice while I was there. Very yummy! :P I do hope you have a fantastic time while you're there. Just thinking about it makes me feel a bit emotional. I loved Scotland and of course, it's been 11 months since I last saw my fiance...so just a little teary-eyed right now. :( Safe journey to you!! :)

Wishin-n-hopin - aww i"m sorry! Yes, I REALLY liked it when I visited in Feb - I'm excited to see it all green now. Actually, we are looking at taking long vacations there in the summers (as I'm a teacher)...Smile though - you are nearing the end of your journey and will be together soon :):)

Have fun hunting for Nessie!! I never made it up to Loch Ness....but we did have a beautiful day at Loch Lomond and Balloch Castle. Have him take you to Stirling Castle, too....if he hasn't done that yet. So far, that one is my favorite :)
