has anyone heard of a 2nd interview at an embassy? My husband was interviewed thouroughly at his 1st interview and did fine but was put in AP. He got a call a week later saying he had to go back to Islamabad for a 2nd interview. Has anyone heard of this and is there anything he needs to do to prepare for it? I really don't know what else they need to ask him. They were not easy on him the first interview and were very accusatory. At the end of all the drama of the 30 minute interview, they said everything was legitimate but they had to do a standard backround check. I am so nervous for him I want him to do well!

yeah sabian there have been many that have had 2nd interview......he needs to be even more prepared this time tho... it sounds like they really want to interrogate him and im sure they will take him in a back room and spend half an hour or more with more questions... but maybe with a glimmer of hope they want him to bring his passport back? did they keep it the first time?

They kept my husbands passport and for the last 6 weeks they reviewed the requested documents for verifying household so they can approve my i 864 and then of cos the embassy called me to give me a phone interview which turned out fine.. in tthe end the co said they dont need anything else from us that there is nothing to worry about our case now and that now he has one last check bfore visa can be issued.

They have really started cracking down in islamabad which is good but at the same time genuine cases are now taking more time unfortunately...

stay strong and keep the faith!!! Good luck!

Ok I will write a letter and have him take it to his interview. They retained his passport and issued him some sort of number. They called a week later, talked to him on the phone for about 15 minutes explaining that they needed to have a different person interview him because they didn't get enough information. I wish I had enough money I would just go with him to the interview. Thanks for the support guys!

Hang in there all will be well. But as already said the second interview will be more interrogatory I would think.

We are in the same situation we have second interview too.

Goodluck.

My husband was given a second interview 3 months after being in AR. Have your mate be prepared to be pulled into a back room and grilled. Have him know as many facts about your job, children and ex-husband(if married before) as possible. Get letters as quickly as possible from family and friends that know about your relationship and scan them and send to him.

After my husband's second interview we were placed in AP where we've been for the last 2 months. We still don't know if we will get the visa. We just hope and pray that we will. May God bless you and your husband.
