Hi there- MY AOS shows up as paid..

I'm not sure if I join the NVC electronic optin or I sent in my documents via mail.

For Peru, it says there is electronic processing...

However, does that mean I need to request electronic optin to submit my I-864 and civil documents for DS-260?

I'm very confused.

If I don't sign up for electronic option, what happens?

Can it slow down or speed up the process?

Thanks so much as always for your help

Electronic processing or optin is not available for Peru.

Thank you.. However, I have that part down.. it doesn't say anything about signing up for electronic optin. As I understand it electronic option is when you send the attachments via pdf with the I-864 and DS-260 online.

Can I just submit the DS-260 online and mail in the supporting documents.

So confusing, right?

You have to understand something. There is a HUGE difference between electronic processing (EP) and online forms.

Electronic processing = emailing the AOS and IV packages

Online forms = completing the DS-261 and DS-260 online

Some countries are eligible for one or the other, or even both.

Peru is only eligible for online forms. You CANNOT email these packages, so you have to snail mail them.

Thanks so much for the information! I wish they would have all of that information in the emails they sent out! I couldn't find the fact that they were different. That clears things up quite a bit!
