can someone pls give me some insight as to what rfe is..i understand addtl evidence., but can u give exmples??? if u sent hotel receipts,itineraries, pics, western union, letters to/frome each other , phone logs-- what else would they need to show???? anyone been thru this????

How about boarding passes and the stamp in your passport that shows entry into the fiance(e)'s country? Letters from each of you stating that you are free to marry and intend to do so within 90 days of arrival to the US. Did you include the affidavit of support and supporting evidence for it?

Basically, re-read the instruction notes on the form again and narrow down what you didn't include in your packet.

Haven't seen your petition, Reread the requirements and documents needed, be complete, did you have a cover sheet and letter describing your relationship? Lay everything out and see whats missing, Find someone in your area to assist you might be a good option.

sometimes RFE s triggered by a travel during the petition time. I think this is what triggered my RFE. I went to see her during the adjudication. They wanted to verify the passport stamps I submitted were mine. I got the copies notarized by my bank to be safe.

But as people are saying RFE can be anything they want to verify or look at closer. Once you know what your RFE is, you can deal with the requests. If you are submitting copies, getting your bank to notarize the copies helps. It shows someone duly authorized by the state government has verified the evidence is accurate. Many banks do it for free. but check with your bank. Notary is not always needed. It is just that extra step to help push it over the edge.

Just relax and wait for the hard copy. Could be just a missing signature or you forgot to check a box..can't be sure until you get it via snail mail.
