hi VJ . my story is that i come to states by k1 and me and my wife got married and i got my ssn ... beacuse as you know the risedence cost 1070 for the furm and EAD cost about 400 .. so i tired to find a job and help my wife for this payment as she couldnt afford this by her self .after that someone of her friends told me he will work me in his store ... but day after day i work hard clean and stock all drinks in the coller and work 6 till 7 hours without break .. all he told learn but after a week finding my self working with no time on no talking about paid .. i stoped and told him to pay me he told no he was training ...but serouily i tired to be nice to him to pay me but no way ...i have all his calls and messages saved about paying me soon ... i think he is staying to get advantage of that im new to here and i dont know what to do with him pls i need ur advice ? im in k 1 im in TX

First it was illegal for you to be employed and working for wages without a valid EAD card or Green Card.

Therefore, your friend did not have the proper authority to hire you for employment for wages. You both are in the wrong, so you have to decide how you wish to pursue file a complaint against the friend for wages, and confess at the same time that you have broken an immigration law. :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

it is illegal for you to work until you have EAD card in hand.

Since they are HER friends, you should ask her to talk to THEM about paying you.

You should feel bless that ICE didn't come into the work place and demand to see your work permit card, you are also out of status since you'll have not filed AOS yet. You could be sitting in a deportation jail, instead to posting on VJ about loss wages. Count your blessings. :dance: :dance: :dance:

as this is seeking advice about an illegal activity, it's a violation of the vj tos:
