Hi girls

today i received the packet 3 from Casablanca consulate

BUT... i have a worry and i need your opinion !!

i applied for a US tourist visa nearly a year & 1/2 ago, it was only a couple of months before the official engagement (& marriage) with Anouar ... it was denied...

There is a question in the DS-156 form which says "Have you ever been refused a US visa?"... my answer for this question will be "yes" :crying::(

Do you think that during my interview this question/answer might be a RED flag in my K-3 visa & CO's decision???

I need your opinion !! i'm worried :help:

I think a lot of people in Morocco and other countries have tried to get a tourist visa and were denied. Don't worry about it- you were just trying to go visit Anaour. I think it's pretty common to have tried.

Good luck Najia!

J'espere que tu vas bien!

bisous,

Sarah

You want an opinion? I'll give you one. My hubby applied for that too, they wrote down wrong thing and his file and we've been screwed up ever since. It doesn't mean that they'd deny your visa, it just means 'watch out'. You dont' know what they wrote in your papers, hopefully everything's all right, inshallah. But who knows. There's nothing at this point you can do, just wait and see.

And try to prepare for the interview as much as possible, even thought, i've heard women get their visa much easier.

Good luck!

You need to be honest in the forms and answer "yes" if you have been denied a visa, anyway they will know because during the interview they check their record with your name, so they will know that you applied for a tourist visa before and it was denied. I had the same problem and they just asked me why i didnt say anything about my fiance in the visa form, i told them that when i applied for the tourist visa, I had just met him, he wasnt my fiance at that time, and that was it, they didnt ask anything else and they approved my visa :) so dont worry, just be honest and everything will be ok. Good luck

We went through the K-1 process but my husband was denied the tourist visa on 9/03 for not showing strong enough ties to Morocco. He tried for this visa so we could meet, even though he knew he would be denied, but tried for me. He had no trouble at his interview. Try not to worry and if asked, just be honest.

Good Luck!

Najia, I agree w/ everyone in that you should definitely be honest and there was no harm in trying for tourist visa to visit your love. They commonly deny tourist visas so, don't worry and be confident when you go for your interview. (F)

Thanks, Najia. They did not include the I134. Abderrazzak will bring it with him though. With Casa I guess you cant be too careful. He is also going to take the 156 in French and English. I am concerned about one thing. I mailed him a photo album of our wedding pictures on August 11 and he still hasnt received it. If he does't get it by Monday I will have to send another. He will need it for the interview. It is so expensive to mail things to him. Maybe I am just using the wrong services. Maybe you could advise me on this.

Thanks so much Najia.

Well, my husband doesn't use a specific mail company (like DHL, or Fedex, they are quite expensive, and we still have time till our interview...) he uses only the regular mail ... he'll send me a package in the next few days for my interview, and he told me that he'll use the "express" and "recommandé" option (ie person signs when s/he gets the letter) so as we'll be quite sure that i'll get it

wish you good luck

Tell Patti, did you get any paper related to your I-130 after getting your NOA2??.... We haven't receive any thing since the I-130 NOA2 letter !! is it normal??

I didn't receive anything after the NOA2 until the AOS bill came from the visa center. Our 130 was approved on 7/17/2006 and I received the AOS bill on 8/11/2006. I hope you receive something soon. Each piece of paper makes you feel like you are a little bit closer to the finish. I pray that the rest of the journey is swift for all of us. :)
