First, I just want to say thank you to everybody on this site. I have spent many hours reading numerous posts and studying the different guides to learn as much as I can about filing for a fiance visa. I am very thankful that I found this website just about the time that we decided to start the K-1 process. I am also happy to say that today we got our NOA2 (no RFE's!!). :) (It was actually approved on July 15th, but I just got the e-mail and text notification today).

My advice to anyone just starting the process....make sure you read the guide for filing the I-129F...and do EXACTLY what it says. I followed it to the letter...and I had no problems and as I mentioned before...no RFE's. At first, it seemed so overwhelming...but I just worked at it little by little and when I finally sent my packet, I felt confident that I had included everything that was necessary.

I know that this is only the first step and there is still much more to do...but it certainly is a relief to know that we can move on to the next step in the process (Whew....!!) :)

Good job, I would agree about the information here, we used an attorney for the K1 (he did not know the difference between a dissolution agreement and divorce decree) so we got an RFE, we did all the work.. We did the AOS ourselves.

Congratulations! Could you please go to the uscis website www.uscis.gov and put in you WAC number and see if the status changed from Initial Review to Decision. I am now about 2 weeks behind everyone who filed later than me and I have no notification yet. I am hoping the web based status falls behind the notice of NOA2 and mine is "in the mail" I paid an attorney to process our K1 and was hoping that would decrease the chance for errors on the initial application

Yes...when I go to the USCIS website and put in my number, it shows a blue dot over Post Decision Activity. Although, according to the email I received and the website, my petition was approved on July 15th...but nothing showed up on the USCIS website until last night. I had even checked it yesterday afternoon around 4:30PM and it still showed "Initial Review". So...apparently it takes them a few days to update the website after they have approved it.
