Few Dollars Above Poverty Level

Hi VJ-ers,

We're currently working on the I-134 now and I have a couple of question that needs enlightenment. Upon checking 1040 his Wage is ($18,411.00) and is above poverty level ($18,387.00) only a couple of dollars above. But at the bottom part they already deducted the Student Loan which makes the Adjusted Gross Income to $17,714.00 so we're a lil bit worried about that. Not sure what the CO's gonna look at upon my interview, so we're thinking now if we'll be in a lil bit of trouble here. Do you guys think that we need to include his Real Estate to help us back up his Salary which is almost below poverty line? Do we also need to put his insurance amount?

They go by Total Income-line 22 of the 1040.

Oh, and if his W-2 shows $18,411.00, you should be ok. It is not much over, but it is over the 125% level.

well my friend was $800 below poverty line but they didnt have a problem at all, and they got the visa approval....just sharing =)
