My passport expires on March 2012. We just got approved, now waiting for NVC. So far USEM in Lima is scheduling interviews for late August. So I was wondering is ok for my passport expiration date March 2012? Or I need to get another? :unsure:

Must have more than 6 months valid on it.

Most embassies required to have at least a six months valid passport.

Yes 6 months+, and so if you figure Visa by end of September, then you have exactly 6 months before expiration. So if they'll renew for you pretty quickly then it might be worth renewing, but make sure you get it back before your interview. You're asked for your passport expiration date and info on one of the, I believe, DS-156 form for the interview, the decisions up to you cause you'll need to fill the form out and whether you can live with putting this expiration date on it.
