No Biometrics Appointment letter yet

It has been a month almost since we received our NOA1 for removal of conditions, but still no other word about biometrics or anything. I called USCIS and the guy told me we have to wait exactly one month to the day from when we received in the mail the NOA1, and then my wife ONLY (not me) can call to find out what happened about our appointment letter.

Should we have received something by now, or is this one month time (or longer) the norm?

Thanks for any answers to this.

Bizarre! You should've received your Bio appointment notice already. We sent our packet on July 5th and received my biometrics letter yesterday.

Have your wife to call them and find out.

Good Luck!

This is from the USCIS site (My Case Status)

If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

Why don't you join I-751 June 2011 Filers thread?

I saw a VSC filer (NOA date 6/10) just got their Bio letter today. So, at least, you are not alone!

Now that worries me. :( When I called a week ago about it the guy played hard ball and I couldnt get any answers from him about anything, other than my wife had to be the one to call, and only after 30 days from receipt of NOA1. I called them before submitting the I-751 to try to verify they got our new address correct, and they seemed to not be able to or want to verify that. All they told me is whatever address I put on the 751 is what they would use. I DID get the NOA1 ok, but, I wonder if somehow they also have the old address somewhere too? Also, I made a mistake because I wasnt thinking. Instead of 90 days for submission I did 3 months. But they didnt receive it until within the 90 days...but I wonder if that isnt maybe the problem too, and why we have nothing yet.

At any I will have Josephine call them in the morning. Thanks for your replies.

It is not unusual to wait more than 30 days for bio, we had some on Aprils filers waited nearly 60 days, depends how busy the local office is and when an appointment can be found, Deep Breaths, Calm Down, welcome to the waiting game.

Your Bio will come

Our bio appointment took what seemed like forever. We were dead last in our group, and it was way later than almost everyone. Some offices are just way behind. With that said, after your 30 days is up you should definitely call them. We did, and we at least got an email in response telling us that our ASC was way behind. :(

It didn't seem to hold our approval up though. :D

Edit: I just looked and our bio letter came about 2 months after our NOA1 date, so it happens. If I remember right we were just on the verge of being on our second 30 days. Our bio appt was 2 and a half monthhs from our NOA date.

We understand your concern

Since some already received the bio recently, I would wait another two days max

Then make your wife call and talk to a tier 2 person to address the issue

If you received the NOA1 on your new address , then no need to worry about the old one

I got my address changed sometime ago and they sent the removal of condition reminder to the old address(which was forwarded to the new one), even though I made a change of address request back by that time, but NOA1 and BIO came to the new addresss without any troubles

Hope that helps

Good Luck

I waited for 32 days for this appointment letter.

I had called USCIS on 31st day to ask about it and they told me that they have already mailed it to me. They were able to give me the date of my appointment and they said that if I don't get it - they could fax or send me another copy.

Don't worry! It's not usual to receive the letter after 30 days, but there are some cases when applicant receive their letter in 60 days.

I called USCIS today. They got permission from my wife to talk with me. Then they verified all the information and gave me a confirmation number and told me someone would contact me about it in 30 days, but if I heard nothing I am supposed to call back after those 30 days again.

You are not alone, there are a couple of us who filed in May and have yet to receive our BIO appointments.

I personally received my NOA on 23 May and have still not received my BIO appointment. Like yourself I called USCIS and requested information but all they could tell me was that I have not been sent an appointment yet. I have to wait a further 3 weeks until I can call again. Very frustrating, at this rate I will be filing for citizenship before I have my conditions removed. lol
