We got NOA2 on July 11th but then on the 25th we got this email:

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On July 25, 2011, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

We called NVC and they said they got our approved case then they send it back for review and we have to contact USCIS for more info. Then when we contact USCIS they didn't give us any reason why our case got sent back and told us to wait for 120 days. It took us 6 months to get NOA2 now they told us to wait for another 120 days. Anyone have any suggestion?

I agree with the previous post, you should start a new thread, and maybe do a search for some key words to see if you have any comrads.

We have also been waiting to hear from the NVC since we received our NOA2 on June 23, 2011. I've called them and USCIS many times and e-mailed my NOA2 to NVCresearch. I hope everyone hears soon, but I feel better knowing others are having the same issue. Good luck everyone don't give up!

Bumping this post to see if there is anyone can shed some light on our question, we hope someone can.

Cheers

Hmmm, I emailed the NVC last week inquiring about when we would get more information about our case being received by the NVC.

Received an email today from them stating the following: (copy and pasted the email, x'd out the "sensitive information")

--------------------------------------------------

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in your letter and has recently been forwarded to the US Embassy/Consulate General. Please allow 10-15 business days for the Embassy/Consulate General to receive the petition.

As this petition is no longer located at the NVC you must resubmit your inquiry or request, and all future correspondence to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General noted below. Also, please be sure to notify the Embassy or Consulate General of any change of postal mail or e-mail address, or any change in personal situation that may affect the applicant's entitlement to a visa.

Please visit www.usembassy.gov to determine the contact information for the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. The individual Embassy or Consulate General website will include contact information for visa related inquiries.

I'm a bit confused by this. I assumed I was going to receive a casenumber from them, but I didn't get it with this email.

What should be my next step? Contact the embassy in The Netherlands and go from there, or try NVC first again to get the casenumber?

Hopefully someone can shed a light on this for me because I might be missing something here.

Thanks in advance! :-)

Yikes-this is not what I wanted to hear, but at least they have replied to my inquiry:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice.

Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition

from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact

USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

I had this reply first and in less than a week time I got the case #. Never stop calling them; you never know when they will get the petition from the USCIS. For the matter of facts, I got the letter from NVC yesterday and the date of the letter was 11 days behind from the date that they received it, which means the NVC got my petition for those days when they told me that they didn't received it from USCIS.

Good luck on the wait.

Have you tried using the receipt number they gave you? You can try calling the NVC to see if they have a case number for you.

I just got off the phone with NVC. It took exactly 30 days from the date printed on the NOA2 to when NVC got it from CSC. They were very quick to turn it around apparently! Thanks everyone for the support and updates in this thread.

Just received our casenumber in the mail from the Dutch Embassy.

All in all from NoA2 approval date to getting the letter from the Embassy in the mail it was from June 17th to July 30th.

Just so some people who are still waiting and everything get another litle timeframe.

Thank you ALL!!!

for the encouraging words, advises and the updates. Up to this point, it looks everything fine except the waiting.

For those who got the NVC case # and cleared to the embassy level, I wish you all the best on your fiancé (e) document production and interview.

For those who still waiting USICS and NVC, I wish you good luck and Be Patient

That's very encouraging words... We got NOA2 July 12th, so hopefully our case number is on our way....

Good luck to all of us!

We got an answer finally-I hope it will be quick from here. Will let everyone know when we receive our case number from NVC.
