Hey there.. I would not worry about it being lost. The California USCIS has had some issues lately in mailing approved NOA2 petitions to the NVC in a timely manor. I was approved shortly after you and my petition was finally mailed yesterday after I emailed NVC and they sent out a request to the California USCIS.

I would recommend calling and talking to a person at the NVC.. They will ask you to send an email to NVCResearch@state.gov .. The email should include your recipient number in the subject line, you need to scan your NOA2 hard-copy approval letter and include it in the email as an attachment, also include the names and birth dates of the beneficiary and the petitioner in the body of the email. You will get an auto-response to let you know they have the mail almost immediately.. they mail again to let you know they are actually working on the problem (mine took two days) and then let you know the status (another 24 hours).

Having said all of that.. you were approved on the 16th and some 6/14 and 6/15 people have reported getting into the NVC this week so you are probably pretty close.. But it doesn't hurt to email NVC in case the CSC still has your paperwork sitting on a desk somewhere.

I am in the same boat. i-129 approved and sent on 6/16. I called NVC last week and then said to give them unitl at least the 21st, then follow up again. I figure a lot of people are probabaly on vacation in July due to the holiday, and kids are out of school so they might be short staffed. I call the automated system everyday to see if they have logged my case yet, but nothing yet. This process is teaching me patience for sure. :-) Let's hope we both get the receipt notice before the 21st!!!!
