N-400 July Filers

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum.I need some helpful information about N-400 application process.I am a green card holder and I have applied for citizenship in July 2011.I did not receive my biometric appointment.I called the customer service centre on 9/14/11 for biometric fingerprint service request. They said that I have to wait 30 days to get a response from USCIS .I did the fingerprint in may 2011 for my nursing license purpose.. In the meantime I received the yellow letter (initial review completion) on 10/10/2011 and it says they need additional documents at the date of interview. Anyone had interview without biometrics?

7/27/2011N-400 Application sent to Texas

7/28/2011 priority date

8/1/2011 NOA letter received

10/10/2011 letter received for additional document submission(drivers license/ photo ID)

Biometrics pending?????

It is time for you to get an infopass schedule. The fact that you got fingerprint done for your nursing license has no bearing on your immigration. Meet with the IO and ask that you do the biometrics. They most likely will let you do the walk-in the same day. You can also call USCIS today as thirty days has passed since you made a request but insist to speak to a level 2 Officer.

I have received the email from USCIS and info content is "This application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local Applications Support Center (ASC). You should receive a notice in the mail within 60 days. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local ASC. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment".

Do I need to make an info pass appointment?

This is not entirely correct. Biometrics are usually valid for 12 months (some say 15) but during that time, USCIS may choose not to obtain FPs again if there is a new application pending.. My guess, you were in that state but since you requested a service, they might've placed you manually for biometrics...

In any case, it seems that you got what you wanted...

The biometrics were done for a nursing license not by uscis. And biometrics are not always valid for a year. I had to redo mine even if I had them done ten months prior.

Depending on how close or far you are from your field office, you can do an infopass appointment. But it is up to you. You may receive the notice quickly.

is anyone else waiting for their oath to be scheduled, (even just a status update), that had received a tick in the box "for further review" after their N400 interview?

I hear you on the waiting. Today is my three years anniversary and I am obsessively checking my phone for an update. Did the io tell you what the further review was for?

I kind of guessed that they would say that because it was before my 5 yr anniversary, but now I'm regretting not at least asking!!

Haha...I'm on the same boat. My 3YR LPR was last Saturday. My heart beat goes up every time I get a new email on my phone. My interview was on the 15th (almost two weeks past).

It's been 11 days since my interview, I think it's the not knowing part that's the worst!!

I think that with today's technological advances, it should be easy to make it an automated process: passed the interview - check, meet anniversary date - check and voila, spit an oath letter.

Oh well, let's all take a breather and relax. We passed the interview, it is just a waiting game. All I want is to take the oath before Thanksgiving. I have tons of stuff to keep me busy until then.

Crossing fingers for you and Boilermaker to get an oath very soon!
