To make a long story short!

I had a nightmare on Tuesday that I had written the wrong address on the envelope in which they were to send my passport and VISA.

It is one of those dreams you have a hundred times during this process with all the paperwork.

So today (Friday) I decided to contact the Embassy to check on the status of my VISA.

I got a quick reply that my package should have gotten here already!

Oh no, its lost in the mail just as my nightmare!

Lucky for me they were kind to give me the tracking number of the package.

But then I couldn't track it online, so I for some reason decided to call the post service support.

I don't know why I usually don't do that. But they found it and told me where i could pick it up.

So I went and picked it up and then i saw it, I had written the street address of my old apartment that was located in the very south of the country.

I felt tremendous joy when I opened the package today and it said:

"Welcome to the United States"

"A Guide for New Immigrants"

----

Got the VISA in hand 303 days after NOA1!

Only 62 days from a year!

05/13/2011 ----- Interview (221g - Case under Administrative Processing "AP")

08/12/2011 ----- Received an email from the embassy "Case is pending review by a consular officer"

IMO, the stress of 'this' causes the subconscious to kick the conscious, get things sorted in a timely fashion.

Please not open that sealed envelope to peek at yer casefile.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
