We left the medical exam with the results. This was the doctor in Leblon though.

Well, it looks like I may have found a solution... unfortunetly it doesn't include me going out for the interview... but I think it will work out.

I found a flight from Rio direct to Atlanta (7.5 hour flight.. WoW!) I will end up driving out to Atlanta (about 12 hour drive) to be there when she arrives. We'll catch a Hotel for the night in Atlanta, and drive back the next morning (nice Sunday drive, and she'll get to see a bit of the good ol US).

I don't mind driving, I do it all the time as part of my job... so no biggie there, and it will make me feel a lot better not having to worry about her missing a connecting flight. Will also be nice to be at the airport in case she has problems with Customs, they can just call my cell and I'll be right there.

So, I think we'll be alright... we just have to confirm that the Doctor can do the Exam and give us the results later the same day before I book the ticket.

Yes indeed, she just scheduled her Medical for 9:30am, Nov 6 with this Dr.

They told her she'll needs one more injection... not sure what it is, but I'll find out tonight.

I flew to Salvador and then we all flew together to Rio via Gol for interview. Then we flew back to Salvador where we spent two days, the first day was un grande festa for Val's going away party and the second was to leave to US with a big hangover. Was very tiring and expensive but I am glad i did it (by the way I am still paying off my credit card). We used the doctor across the street also - I think his name is Duarte but I would have to check. They did meds in one day before interview for Val and her two sons. Keep checking prices and good luck on your Fiances interview.

I'm surprised it's that far out. Oh well. So by the time they get around to ours, it will most likely be a late November/early December interview. Hope they don't shut down in December!

Yeah I was a little surprised at the date as well, I figured from others interview dates, mine would probably be mid-end of October. But, oh well, not going to complain, at least the end is near!

I wonder if the fact that the CSC has been pumping out approvals lately, has bogged down the Embassy's a little with an overload of interviews.

For me, this interview date actually ended up working a little better, as I have been planning the whole time to go out there for the interview, but now that I'm not, the couple extra weeks will give me time to get everything over to her that she'll need, and lets me go over everything with a find tooth comb.

From what I saw in their listings, they only make immigration interviews a few days a month, so they fill out those days and skip to the next month with more interviews, keeping in mind there are many immigration interviews that are not K1 or K3.
