Hey all you visa journey members,

I just had a quick question about the medical exam prior to the interview, we are pretty sure that my fiancee has HPV and she was wondering if they are going to either fail her exam or deny her visa because of it, does anyone have any experience with this situation?

Thanks,

Brandon

I had my medical exam 2 weeks ago, and since I knew about the HPV shot I got the shot before even having my medical exam. But, when I had the medical exam I was told that this shot is not mandatory anymore, since it is imported and too expensive here in Brazil. Since I got the first and second shot already, I will justget the third one after I am already in the US. So, for people that havent taken the shot yet, do not take it, just do it after you are in the US because alot cheaper. And I am almost sure that this same shot, is requiered for AOS. Not sure...

She will have to do some blood exams, but I dont think she would be denied about this.

Talk about removing HIV as a grounds for inadmissibility, with that said... HPV should not be a huge complication..

YMMV

No HPV is not a problem nor is the vaccination required. Recommended... But not required.... The vaccine only covers type 16 and 18 which is known to cause cervical cancer in women.

It is actually more common than people realize. In 90% of the cases with people with HPV, the body's immune system takes care of it naturally. Don't worry about this......
