Are the USCIS processing times fair?

The applicaitons go to different centers. Some are immediately sent to one center for review for fraud becaue of the country of beneficiary. etc. You must understand all paperwork is necessary for this process. Many do not send in the needed items. Anytime something is requested from spouse in a foreign country this is a lengthy time to get the document, translate it, and mail it to the US and then on to USCIS. The best way to speed up any office is to get the proper documents to them ASAP and hope it does not sit in an inbox. and hate to say this but looking at all workers in any office I have ever delt with, seems some know what they are doing and others are just there for the pay check. Walk into an office, ask a question and watch everyone go to 1 person to find the answer. Now, hope that is the one who does your paperwork.

Why is it that people get faster processing, even though they sent their application later than others? Doesn't USCIS claim " Applications are processed in the order they are received????

let me ask you something, what if it isnt?what do you plan on doing to change that?

Thank YOU for asking this question..... I am so tried of hearing every new member come on-board asking this question as if they can do anything about it. SO sue the government, everyone acts as if they just woke up yesterday, and heard that LIFE isn't fair.

One time I went to a big box store. I loaded up my cart, checked and double checked to make sure I had gotten everything on my list, and then I went to the register. I looked at the LONG line of registeres and picked one that I thought was the shortest - because like everyone else there I wanted to get out quickly. I became frustrated becuase I saw other lines moving SO much faster than mine, even people who lined up after me were moving right along and checking out way before me. I thought 'how unfair is that...I was here first"

That is the same with USCIS. Sometimes adjudicators work faster than others, sometimes they get bogged down on one case for a while and can't or won't process any others until that one is done, so the people waiting behind them get stuck in the queue.

It is no one's fault, it is just the same as waiting in line at the grocery store, sometimes you get a super quick check out, sometimes you get stuck behind the old granny counting coupons and paying in pennies

good luck

you know i would understand if us as petitioners and beneficiaries had more options, but we dont.

people who are not and have nor gone through immigration dont care, they dont understand.

you know those dusty little workshops in south east asian countries that no one knows or cares about?where people work on minimum wage and are miserable?

thats USCIS,out of sight, out of mind

I completely understand your frustration. There are a lot of factors that determine the processing times for a petition. I am sure each Service Centers do the best they can with what they have to deal with. Some petitions get approved quicker than others may be because the beneficiary comes from a low fraud country, may be they have everything that is asked for and some petitions lack information or comes from a high fraud country...either way, they eventually get to someone's petition...the process is what it is and does require a lot of patience...it does you no good to drive yourself nuts about the waiting...it is frustrating to you as well as to thousands of petitioners that goes through this process...in the end when the desired result is at hand...it is all worth it...keep the faith and good luck on your journey...innocent.gif
