Hi Guys,

16 June-

My Citizenship Oath Ceremony.

Received my NOA2.

What else you can ask for? :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

9AM - I attended Citizenship oath Ceremony. Took almost 2-3 hours. I got my Naturalization certificate.

1PM - Call USCIS for upgradation of my wife's petition from FA2 to IR1. (Gave all info to the operator)

8PM - Got an email from USCIS saying " On June 16, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. "

At this point, I am thinking that my case at USCIS is not transfer yet, I have to transfer my case at NVC, once they will receive it. Please let me know about your valuable suggestions... !!

USCIS: (108 days)
Spouse's Journey (F2A) - USCIS
02/22/2011 - Filed I-130 as F2A
02/28/2011 - Notice of Action 1 (NOA1)
06/16/2011 - Notice of Action 2 (NOA2)

NOA2 to NVC (32 days to get Case number)
NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.
08/02/2011 - DS-3032 received by NVC.
08/03/2011 - IV Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
08/04/2011 - IV Fee Bill invoice shows "PAID" and DS-230 package mailed to NVC.
08/16/2011 - SIF & Case Completed

08/29/2011 - Interview Email.
New Delhi Consulate:
10/06/2011 - Medical Done.
10/17/2011 - Interview Date and Visa Approved !
10/20/2011 - Passport with Visa picked up from local VFS office.
12/16/2011 - P.O.E.
01/19/2012 - Receive Green card in mail

2013-11-13 - Apply for Removal of Conditions.

2013-11-23 - NOA Date

2014-03-27 - Approval.

2014-04-01 - Green Card received.

Congrats..call NVC to get your case # and invoice identification #. You also want to make sure NVC has a copy of your citizenship certificate.

I'm a bit cloudy on this - but you need to let someone know that you have USCitizenship now, usually call in to NVC, talk to a Supervisor, email/fax/postal mail a copy of the Naturalization Certificate.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Shouldn't I need to wait for a week or so, since NVC have no info about my case at this point. As far as informing USCIS about this, I already did yesterday... Since they send me approval yesterday, So I am thinking that USCIS didn't update my case at this point.

I am not sure if someone else got into this situation before or not... Got NOA2 and Citizenship on same day... quite confusing to me...

USCIS sends casefiles either to storage (if not USCitizen) or on to NVC (if petitioner is USCitizen)

At this point, bug USCIS, get a Tier 2 human, an ISO, and talk a bit about what they need from you in order to send the casefile off to NVC.

Don't waste time with the first person that answers the phone, a Tier 1, CSR - they don't have the deep access that a Tier 2, ISO, does.

Hey Darnell..

Just talk to USCIS Tier 2 person, he is like since you have got your approval yesterday, So we are going to send your case to NVC. The only option I have is just wait until I'll get NVC Case#(which will be a week or so), then talk to them and fax my I130 approval with Citizenship certificate, then they will transfer my case to IR1.

I think you have to deal with NVC cuz they already done with you case.And USCIS they don't care with your citizenship because if you look up timefrima at USCIS for Us resisdance and citizen person is same five months. In which category are you in fit that decide by NVC. USCIS doesn't decide your category, NVC decide you category and assign case #. After a week start calling to NVC, usally they take two weeks but we never know when they will get it. As soon as they assign your case # give them email and let them know that you are citizen. You might be able to send Citizenship certificate through email.Good Luck
