Translation Requirements

All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that the:

  • Translation is accurate, and
  • Translator is competent to translate.

No need for translations unless docs are English or the official language of the country where interview will take place.

The consulate in Casablanca requires the police cerification to be translated into English. If not, they will make you get that translated before they interview. Anyone who went through this consulate for an interview will tell you the same. Good luck!

the only thing you do not have to translate is copy of the passport. All other papers need to be certified translations.

We had all his civil documents and our marriage certificate translated. Also, make sure that when it comes time for the interview, that the civil documents are still valid. If not, you will need to get some with new expiration dates to take to the interview.

No I don't, and it would probably be better to get them translated in Morocco. The consulate has a list of accredited translators, make sure you use one fo them.

do you know any agency who can translate these police certificates here in the USA, and their translation will be accepted by NVC and the Consulate in CASABLANCA
