Hey everyone, the wife and I are at the final stages, and I finally got all my civil docs ready to scan back to NVC. Is there a certain order these have to be scanned in? I understand that I have to have the full pdf file under 10mb total.

Also, those of you that had the Interview, how did you organize your paperwork? Did you have a binder? I'm kind of getting scared that I won't have the paperwork in order when the officer asks for certain docs...organization is not my strength...but I have a feeling that I'm going to get better at it real quick!

thanks!

Nope, there's no specific order in which you need to put the civil docs. As long as they're all there, that's what matters. And if you include a cover letter, then make sure they're in the same order as listed.

For my case, I had everything in an accordion-styled folder. You can see pictures in this post on my blog: http://journeythroughimmigration.blogspot.com/2011/05/interview-tomorrow.html [second picture] If organization isn't your strength, I'd suggest maybe having a separate binder from your evidence. In the binder have everything that will be requested at the interview: interview letter, passport, 2 passport pictures, medical results, copy of your AOS package, a DS-230, original/certified copy of the beneficiary's birth certificate, original/certified copy of the marriage certificate, and the original police certificate.

No additional fees at the consulate, but there will be fees for the medical, vaccinations, and additional pictures if you need them.
