After one month of sending in my wife and children's Aos, I received Rfe, Because I wrote one check for 3 apps, plus the total was wrong. It looked like it was picked through and possibly partially processed, the lady explained that the app was good other than the check,. I sent back express mail to the Chicago P.o Box May 16. The letter that accompanied my app said it would get special attention and had to attach that letter to the front of my app. 3 weeks later and no biometrics or even the checks cashed. I cannot call back until May 13, that will be the 30 day grace period from RFE. I'm worried and tired of waiting..

This isnt as bad as it may seem. They are simply busy. The check will clear, the case will be reopened quickly & approved. The grace period will not be a factor because you responded in plenty of time.

The waiting & worry are unfortunate aspects of the journey. This will soon end & you will have what you have worked for.

If you got the entire package back then it was rejected. You didn't simply get an RFE. Once it's accepted then the check will be cashed, and it will go into the queue. People have been saying in the AOS forum that it's taking about a month to get their AOS packages accepted now. Be patient.

You know as well as everyone else that this is a huge bureaucracy and slow moving. Any mistake means that additional time will be seen.

Cashed our checks. Never so happy that the government took 2775 dollars.
