Medical booked for Dr A. Millar in Sydney

Hey guys,

We got our NOA2 back quite quick so I'm running around like a headless chook getting everything ready, I've already got my Police Certificate and I booked myself a medical, Dr. A millar can actually see you without a case number, I rang and checked. I also rang the other doctor for sydney and he could only do a medical with a case number. Thats just for future reference for other Sydney K1ers. I spoke to a REALLY lovely lady on the phone, you actually have to get her to call you back. She asked you to bring your passport and 3 passport photos, im not sure if there was anything else. Tuesday 14th at 10:00, anyone else getting a medical done that day?

However I dont remember her mentioning anything about x-rays for some reason, anyone can share any info on this would be great

I had my medical with Dr Millar at the end of April.

Not sure if the requirements are different for you (since you are K1, and I am CR-1), but I also had to take my vaccination records to the medical also.

Dr Millar will give you the request forms that you will take down to have your chest-xray and your blood test done..both the radiology and pathology offices are in the same building so it's really easy..just alot of up and down in the elevator lol!

Yeah Chloe all that happens on the same day darl. They will send you for the blood tests and Xray and you take that back to Dr Millar to finish off. Don't forget if you have your vaccination card take that with you as well.

Does anyone have an estimate of the costs for the medical exam with Dr Millar, including the chest x-ray and the blood tests (not including the vaccinations as these will vary)?

I paid $338 total including the x-ray and blood test.

Word of advice...don't get the vaccinations done by Dr Millar...that will put the price up to well over $400. It is much cheaper (if not free!) to have them done by your local Doctor. Of course, it's totally up to you...just thought I would mention it.

OH yeah! I got ALL my vaccinations done through my local doctor, every single one on the list. I actually got MMR and chicken pox for free, so make sure to get them through the local doctor!
