Packet 3 paperwork... fax or mail? (Bogota Embassy)

This might be a minor trifle in the long run, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences with one of the two being better... the Bogota Embassy has our application so we want to go ahead and send in the packet 3 materials, and it gives the option to send it through mail or to a fax number at the Embassy. Would it be advisable to fax it, since that'll be faster? Are there any downsides to doing it this way?

Thanks in advance everybody!

Yes I have direct experience recently. The best bet is to scan them to an e-mail and send them that way plus send the hard copy by mail which is what I did. That same day the Bogota Embassy calls my fiancee in Medellin and tells them not to e-mail but send the hard copy through the mail. I call and find out you if can still e-mail packet #3. but the Embassy in Bogota indicates they are not sure why the call was made to my fiancee... so send the hard copy anyway  ... so I send the hard copy Packet #3 using USPS International serivce for 27.49. A day later I get an e-mail from the Embassy telling me they got my e-mailed submission and they would let me know when are appointment date was...go figure.......so in my case they got both an e-mail copy and a hard mailed copy. I caled the USICS last week and got my appointment date for the interivew even though the Embassy does not post that info until the middle of June. It is my belief the USICS assigns the interviews for the Embassy with K-1's You just have to know how to work the system  Good luck see you at the embassy  Bogota Embassy Beautiful place and the embassy staff seem like decent people.
