NVC Timeline

We got our NOA2 approval on May 31 (never got an email though) and so I waited the usual 3 days before contacting NVC to see if they have gotten it. And both times I have called they have said "Please give us 14 days before it gets into our system."

Most people's timelines show that they get their new case number 3 days after... And it's usually out the door a couple days after that...

Am I missing something? Or have the wait times at NVC now increased?

Oh man you need to chill there is no way everyone gets to NVC that quickly. It can take 1-2 weeks so relax it will happen now you just have to wait.

I got my NOA2 on may 17th and NVC got my case until may 31st (I found out until the next day though)... it took 2 weeks. I think they say it can take up to 4 weeks but hardly ever happens. Be patiente, its almost there!! Call again next week and make sure you talk to a live person, that Automatic Voice response does not seem to work very well!

My NOA2 was May 19th, and my case has been sitting in NVC for 10 days now

I've seen cases sat at NVC for 14, 20, 40, and 53 days at http://www.visajourn...uck-nvc-for-ap/

Let me clarify: the issue isn't that it's sitting in NVC, the issue is NVC is saying it takes them 14 days to get it from VSC... Which seems at odds with other people's past experiences...

I see that paojack's was pretty far out and bobbyA's took 6 days.

Not getting angry or impatient Barbara J, was just asking if there was something I'm missing as other people said "call after 3 days".

Yes, there's no telling how long each step takes.

We called the NVC on 27th Fri, they said they havent received our case and to wait 15 days. Called again on Monday. They said our petition was already sent to London on the 27th. So, maybe they aren't too organized.

Once you receive your NOA2 by mail then you can call NVC to see if your case has arrived and if a new case number has been issued. For me it took exactly 1 week after getting the NOA2 approval by email.

it can take over a month.. from time to time, cases are put in AP @ NVC and it can take a month or longer to get the case # and forwarded to the consulate/embassy

ah sorry that's not exactly true...it usually takes 3-6 working days for the Service Center to send it to the NVC and 2-3 working days for the NVC to send it to the embassy. While at the NVC it takes 1-2 days to get the BGT2011 case number. Just look at my time line below

That is just the standard stuff they read you off the pre-printed cards that they read from. Just call the NVC 2 times a day and say you know that 129F's are processed quickly.You will get the answer your looking for.

Mine took 1 day shy of 4 weeks. I was freaking out. The other thing is, you should talk to a real person when you call the NVC. I used to always only use the automated system so I could just punch in the numbers and not have to bother anyone everyday. But then I decided to talk to someone one day and they said that they had received it and gave me the case number. I called today and used the automated system again to see if it had left the NVC. I still got the computer response telling me they had no record of it at all. So again, I decided to talk to a real person, and then they told me it had left yesterday for Juarez.

i just got my letter from the NVC on my 31 they sent my packet to the embassy!!! i got my NOA2 on may 19, so keep your chin up it will come soon
