Hi everybody! I will be sending all the paperwork for the ROC in August but I was planning a trip to my home country in December. My CR-1 expires in November. Will I still be able to go? Will I get something saying that I am a legal resident so I can travel outside the U.S? Can somebody please help me? THANK YOU!!!

Your CR1 visa expired a long time ago. You will get an extension for the validity of your green card when you file for Removal of Conditions. This letter/notice along with your expired green card will allow you to reenter the US.

It will expire November this year. When will I get the extension? Along with the NOA1? Appointment for biometrics?

the extension letter, also known as NOA1 is sent out fairly quick after they receive your package, you should have it in about a week after they get your package, the bio appt varies...it was about a month before we received the appt letter for biometrics...good luck

NOA1 is you extension, so if you get I-751 filed at the earliest date allowed, hopefully your biometrics date will be issued within the 30 days of you recieving the NOA1 and hopefully biometrics will be done before your trip in December. Good Luck.
