.Hi! I know everyone here are busy with their visa journey but I just need your advise or suggestions about something but has nothing to do with visa application. I wanted to give my fiancé a gift, there's actually no occasion to celebrate but I just feel giving him a special one. He had been so loving, nice, generous, caring and loyal to me for being almost a year apart. He's more than I could ever dreamed of. And he means the whole world to me now. So what s a best gift for someone who's quite have everything materially? I've tried my own made cards already, a video clip of his photos, got him his favorite coffee what else? You guys think will swipe your feet of if someone does or give you? I know I may sound cheesy but I know those who are in love will understand me. ;) I'm not also a cheesy person before but I'm happy to see what love can do for me! Thanks and wish good luck and love to everyone.. Love this site!

Hi there, I know exactly how you feel. But let's put it this way, whatever you gave to him I'm sure he will appreciate it. Try a scrapbook of your photos together. This is a history of your love. With this you have a thing that both can look back to. Or a simple thank you/love card. A nice watch or a Philippine shirt/jacket/cap. How about his hobby? Know what he likes to do for fun. Is he collecting action toy figure or video games or loves to read books? Also gym accessories or liquor. What's his favorite filipino delicacies? Dried mangoes, Pili Nut etc. Know what size of his feet and give him a nice pair of sneakers. Have a personalized tshirt/mug/mouse pad/pillow/keychain with your pictures together.

There's a lot of things to give to your loved ones. Expensive or not if it's from you, no doubt. It's the thought that counts. And the most important here is not only the material things, it's about how you show your love to him. Say I love you is the sweetest. Try to cook for him or give a whole body massage. He deserves a treat!

Hope that helps. Have a good day! :)

If it has nothing to do with the visa process then by definition it should not be posted in one of the visa forums..

moving to PI regional

YMMV

I think the best thing you could give him would be some new photos of you that he hasn't seen or a video of you talking to him and telling him how much he means to you. I was in your situation for nearly 2 years and I know that is what I liked best from my baby. I was always most happy to receive emailed pics of her that I had not seen before because it helped to feel close when we were still far apart. If your fiance is like me, then he too will appreciate it. Material things are not what is important... especially when you are missing the person you love.

I suppose I'm the mushy type, I appreciate much my wife's cards she sends. Even if it's just a quick note about nothing in particular. Just a touch of perfume is nice also. I keep them all by the monitor when I'm skyping. Like to occasionally re read them......there's my two bits!

I have something to say about a special gifts. I wish my fiancee could read this now for her to comment.

She knows about surprises.

What she did for my birthday? She is NUT but in the most sweetest way. For my birthday, she sent me ice cream chocolate cake from Dubai to my office in USA.

I mean, I was so busy that day and I forgot about my birthday and all that. When I saw that, I felt like if I swallowed a humming bird. Could not hide my singing( ) smile.

She is very unique with gifts!

That's a tough one to answer. I do have pretty much all the material things I could want, cars, motorcycles, toys, lol..I think I sound like a material guy :) I have designer watches, wallets, belts, clothes, and jewelry..etc.. :) Lol..I'm not as bad as it sounds. But really since I have all that I could want, I wouldn't expect my Cynthia to give me anything of material value. I would just want to have and keep her love. And it's the little things that require thoughtfulness and caring that mean a lot to me. So a simple card, a simple note, means a lot because of the thought.

May 2010 Visited Cynthia in the Philippines
08/10/2010 I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX address (used Express Mail via USPS)
08/12/2010 Arrived at Dallas location and signed by B McBride
08/14/2010 NOA1 (via txt message & email)
08/17/2010 Touched (check clears)
08/18/2010 Receive NOA1 hardcopy
Nov 2010 Visited Cynthia in the Philippines...Hoping my next visit will be to bring her back with me...
01/26/2011 On January 26, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). (NOA2
02/03/2011 Received NOA2 hard copy in mail
03/28/2011 Interview Date scheduled
03/17/2011 Interview Cancelled by SLEC due to "possible" findings on x-ray
03/25/2011 Skin test negative, smear test negative for TB, BUT still mandatory sputum test delay 8 Weeks
05/17/2011 Sputum results NEGATIVE Whoohoo...but I think the x-ray results need some work or some better way of detecting it

Pick out some really skimpy nighties and naughty undies. Don't show him until he's already in bed. Make up a little routine and practice it so you have it down perfect. Most guys are going to be OK with that.

I wouldn't promote that. There are more romantic gifts that the OP can offer.

Op,

Get a nice decent sweet gift.
