PRIORITY DATE NOA2 ?????

OK now as i read more i'm finding that the priority date has to do with NVC tranferring ur case

to embassy they gave April thats like 6 months away any bosy else got a priority sate so far off

its on the approval notice NVC got the case it all seems ok i hope no delays to come.

I never even look at that date, however as soon as I get home I will do that and let you know.

send I-130 Petition

03/02/06 recived NOA1

04/03/06 send I-129 visa

04/13/06 NOA 1 for I-129F in mail

06/07/06 I-130 Approved

07/05/06 Ref in mail (129F)

07/06/06 send back (129F)

07/07/06 rcvd I-864 Processing fee bill &DS-3032

07/09/06 faxed DS-3032 to al

07/10/06 send I-864 fee

07/11/06 send DS- 3032 (next day delivery)

08/02/06 send bill $380. recived 08/08/06

08/09/06 send affidavit of support recived 08/10/06

08/16/06 send DS 230- arrived at visa center on 08/17/06 at 8AM

08/16/06 I129 approved

10/26/06 1-130 completed at NVC

02/12/07 Visa was issued

Dont worry about the priority date. The priority date is the date that the petition was filed. If you check your NOA1 you will see the same date in 'received/receipt date'. It is only applicable to LPR's who have to wait for a visa to become available. From previous posts, many also have no date mentioned in the priorty date on their NOA2.

Check it again. Your timeline shows your I-130 received by service center in April. Priority date would be the date received by your service center - I'll bet it says April of THIS year, not next. And priority date won't affect you - it has nothing to do when the embassy will schedule you. This only applies to other types of visas where the embassy will say they will process applications with priority date of xx/xx/xxxx. Priority date will NEVER be in the future. And, like I said, it has nothing with CR-1 or K-3s, they are processed as they are received without consideration of the priority date (unless they goofed up on it, as they did mine)....
