Hey guys!!

I got my interview date in Ciudad Juarez!! It´s going to be on 1 novemeber and I am very happy but NERVIOUS at the same time!! I just wanted to say thank you to all of you, all the information you share in this forum was very helpful and I would like to express my gratitude (F)

Wish us good luck and I promise I´ll memorize the whole thing up there and even if I get denied :crying: (God forbiden) I´ll share my experience with you as soon as I get back

I just have one more question. When you get married in Mexico the last names (we don´t have middle name, we have paternal last name and maternal last name) don´t change, just if you request it, I didn´t and all my documentation even my passport are with my maiden name. Did anybody get a k3 visa with maiden name in passport? They didn´t mention it in any documentation.

Thank you all of you!!

Here is our timelines (be patience) could be helpful to you:

Congratulations!!!!! :D That is so wonderful that things have happened relatively fast once your case reached the consulate! We have very similar timelines and are also filing in Mexico. Did you guys receive a K3 packet from the consulate or did they just schedule the interview right away? We're kind of confused about what happens once the K3 case is at the consulate; and everybody has been giving us different answers.

Good luck!!!!!

Thank you zenaelarabi and Malie!!

Malie, here is the whole thing: my husband got the nvc letter with the case number on 2 august (9 days after the I-129F approval). I don´t know exactly when the Cosulate receive it from them but since then I called three times to the 01 900 849 4949. The first time (23 august) they said they already got the case but it was "still loading on the system" and I should call again in ONE MONTH. The second time (1 september) the lady said "the consulate in ciudad juarez didn´t revise your case yet, call in ONE MONTH" well, since they asked me to call in one month twice...I called back in one week!!

This time (8 september) surprise!! the lady said "you have an appoinmet on 1 november". So, I don´t know your timelines but according to my case is going to take you around 42 days to get a interview date since the date of your I-129F approval and another month to finally go there.

You just have to keep calling to the embassy in Mexico city, don´t call very often or they´ll get annoyed. And don´t listen to them if they said "call in one month" just call every week.

When they finally give you the date (they send the packet the same day they schedule your date) ask them what day did they send you the packet. I asked the lady and she said my packet has been sent on 5 september and if don´t get it for 5 october I must call and let them know (the mail service in mexico is not dependable).

Oh! and if you notice the I-129F has a expiration date, so the first time I called I let this know to the guy on the phone, he said it won´t be a problem and I supposed they must set you a date before the I-129F expires. They didn´t explain me this, it´s just my conclusion B) I could be wrong.

If you or anybody else have more questions or if I wasn´t enough clear please let me know, my english is not very good but I do the best I can :D (my husband said I talk funny sometimes)

Later!!

 Congratulations Malie!!

Wonderful news!! just 2 days of difference betwen our dates...that´s funny!! the only thing I don´t like about my date is, the next day, 2 november is a mexican holiday and according to their page, they don´t work :crying: so, we are gonna have to stay there more time that the estimated  your date is the friday, I reccomend you to make sure that the medical clinics will be working on 2 november, well I´m assuming that you were planning to get the medical interview one day before, it´s just an advice.

My husband is going with me, so we are trying to figure out how we are going to do it...and if you need tips about the hotels and stuff like that, please feel free to ask, I´m a little familiar to that city (never been there but one of my relatives).

Tracy, unfortunately I can´t help about the phone number, since I called from Mexico and I don´t know anything about the marcation in the USA, but I hear some people here in Mexico have problems trying to call 900 numbers and all they have to do is call to the phone company and ask them to enable that system.

My 1-129F were approved on 24 july and not sure the exactly day Ciudad Juarez got the case but I knew it was between 7 - 12 august...pretty fast.

Mike, don´t worry the k3 visa is moving pretty fast, well, in my case just took 5 months since we filed the petition until the interview and yes, Ciudad Juarez is the only one processing the visas based on family in Mexico. And yes, Veracruz is a long way from Juarez, Juarez is rigth on the border to Texas and Veracruz is on the south-central part of the country, but the fligths from Mexico city to Juarez are not expensive and have departures daily.

Later!!

Thanks!
