just a quick one here .... how do we know when our case is completed by the NVC ... is there a way to check each day?

thanks again

I have read a lot about SIF (Sign In Failed) after case completion. This is when you log in to your account at NVC. If you have any.

Otherwise, I'll pick up the phone and start bugging 'em.

thanks all ....... actually I have called NVC and they told me to wait until 20 days had passed .... and the only sign in I know about is the one I paid my fees through for the I-184 and the DS-230 ... so I will wait a bit and then keep trying . thanks again

I think that's the (sign in) one that vj'ers are talking about. We didn't have one so I'm not really 100% sure...

Good Luck!

Stuff (from me)

1. you paid fees online, keep trying to log in to the online payment portal. The DAY you cannot, you'll get some error message, and this condition is pegged here at VJ as a 'Sign In Fail', or SIF, condition. This is a good indicator that the casefile is complete (but wait, it's not done) but mostly that means that NVC has received all of the documents that it needs to press on to the final review stage, no further input/documents from either the USC Petitioner or the Foreign Spouse/Beneficiary.

2. Once the case is complete, there's 2 more timeticks to run through:

--final review

--interview scheduling (if yer embassy allows NVC to handle that)

3. questions for NVC

--Intake on all documents is complete? yes? no?

--When will final review start?

--Whats going on with final review?

--Final review finished?

--Any clue on the interview scheduling queue?

--has the casefile been put into the 'interview scheduling' queue yet, or not? if not, when you forecast it will come over to that queue?

Good Luck ! Have NVC on speeddial - program any extra keys you need.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thank you All! ! ! ..... I thought what you said was too good to be true, but you were right ... Today I have signed in again and clicked on the "pay fees" link and was so delighted to get the official "sign in failed" (all dressed up in red text I might add) ..... Praise God ... what a special answer to prayer ... now on to the final review ... I know it's not all over with yet but this benchmark equals progress and helps us to move on to the next step with greater hope ...We are so blessed with all the help we get here that continues to equip us along the way ... I wish I could be as helpful but all I can add is a little encouragement to hang in there ... don't give up ... keep reading all this great stuff ... and believe that things will happen in their time ..... God Bless and lots of love from the Sowfamily

I think the speed depends also on which country it is from . For China, it seems that each time it takes 20 business days for a review. so, if you get an RFE and responded to it , be prepare to sit and wait for 20 days before it gets review.
