I just received a text stating my AOS has been 'transferred to another office for processing' ... I know that being transferred to CSC is a good thing usually, but how do I know where it's been sent?

Yeah, my email isn't any more specific. :(

"On January 20, 2012, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action."

Ah well, I suppose I can wait another few days to find out.

I just got a notice in the mail dated January 17th, that my AOS case has also been transferred to CSC. I never got a text or email though. I was scared it was an RFE...I was like..."NOOOOO....oh wait....YAY!"

Awesome! I hope mine says the same. I hate not knowing where it's gone.

Got the hard copy today. CSC it is! :)

Does this mean there's a good chance of no RFE? Do people usually get an RFE before or after their case is transferred?

I would assume RFE's get issued after they are transferred...since the CSC office is handling our case. They probably haven't looked at it much just stuck it in a 'send to CSC' pile.

This is based purely off assumption, and I may be wrong. Though it would be awesome to get no RFE OR interview for that matter!

Have to drive to Detroit (3hrs) for the interview tomorrow, so naturally it's snowing insanely out there. Been a relatively snow-less winter until now, too.

Glad to hear about the transfers for you guys! Hopefully no interviews :)

So, just when I think things are going smoothly, something goes wrong.

My husband is out of state and some jerk smashed his windshield of his car. He was supposed to come home tonight and now he can't come home until late tomorrow at best. Our biometrics is on Tuesday morning. I have no car myself, so I have no way of getting there if he can't get home in time.

Is it too late to reschedule my appointment? Should I call USCIS? I don't know what to do.
