Grrr - RFE for AOS

We didn't include copies of my savings and checking accounts. Because I'm a student, I haven't had any income for the past few years so my parents are the joint sponsors. I figured as long as they got enough info for that it would be enough. But no, they want copies of my checking and savings accounts...

Questions: Should we resend everything including the joint sponsor info? Or is just including the missing documents enough?

Thanks....

I think they only need that evidence if you fill out Part 7, Use of assets to supplement income, on the I-864 form. That part is optional but I've seen a lot of people get RFEs for filling out that part when it wasn't necessary.

Just talked to NVC - they said I don't need to re-submit anything for the joint sponsor. I need to resubmit my I-864 because we're going to change a few things on that (the guy I talked to said this is fine). Basically we're just going to leave out my husbands info which is optional anyhow because getting copies and translations of his statements is a hassle and shouldn't be necessary. Moral of the story: Sometimes too much is too much!!!

Only in love is too much not enough--with immigration issues it seems that just following the directions precisely is the best bet

Just sent off forms - should be there Monday. How long will a simple RFE set me back? Hope they accept it this time. I just left out my husbands assets as they weren't relevant to us making the poverty line and would involve translations of forms.

fingers crossed....
