Hello fellow VJ-ers,

I'm just curious if there's a possibility that NOA2 will be hold up coz of my bf's tax? He actually hasn't filled it yet but he filled an extension since he's still trying to struggle with the paper works for his mortgage and stuff. Also, when we were checking his Annual Income he's a few hundred short (probably around $200) to meet the Poverty Line. So we were hoping that his house and car can help us get through. Lastly, do you think there's a possibility that USCIS or consul will also consider my income as a support for our petition since my bf has a lot of expenses (mortgage, student loan, etc.) and can't save that much. I think some of you can relate that there's a lot of payables in the US unlike here in Philippines you don't need to worry that much if you're living a simple life......you can save good money if you know how to.

Anyways, I'm a lil bit worried about this and I'm afraid that this can be a hindrance in our petition. There's a couple of approval for Feb filer, they're even close to my filing date but it's okay that I still haven't got mine we're not really in a hurry anyway just in case it might take a while for our approval at least I already have a clueunsure.gif. Any input will be greatly appreciated

thanks guys

I think the approval of petition (NOA2) is base on the proof of meeting along with other documents you submitted. Affidavit of support is needed only during the interview where they want income tax, w2, pay stubs, employment letter, etc. So I think thats the time they can determine if you're capable or not and thats where they can hold-up your visa approval.

I dont know. Just my thought.

At this stage --yr fiancee tax returns have no bearing on the outcome . It will play a factor when you are approved and have to submit evidence of support at the interview . A main cause is awaiting background security check . Others include checking the validity of the supporting documents , and just longer processing times .
