Hi all,

I'm petitioning for a Cr1 Visa for my Swiss wife, and so far so good. I just sent the I-864 and DS-230 papers today to NVC. Now, I have a silly question. I understand my wife will eventually have to interview (when she receives her appointment date) at the embassy in Bern.

Do I have to be there in person as well?

It is not a silly question. This is consulate specific and you should find out from consulate or from others that have interviewed there. For example, I MUST be present at my husband's interview in Dom. Rep. but in Mexico the beneficiary interviews alone.

Your presence may give you two a huge plus but, I am pretty sure that your wife will pass her interview no problem.
