Any Suggestions on Hotels?

Hey guys! I just got my email last night with my interview date -- June 27th! (which happens to be my birthday!!!). Im coming from Niagara Falls, and so far am thinking gotrain to TO and then Mega Bus to Montreal. It ends up being $64 + tax, getting me there early afternoon on the 26th and leaving late afternoon on the 27th. So I am looking for somewhere to stay for the one night I am in Montreal. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions at all? Right now Im leaning towards an econolodge (I think it was) that is like a 15 min drive away and taking a cab. Most of what Ive seen closer is in the $200 range.. for one night.. which Ill probably be too excited to sleep much anyway ha ha. Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks a bunch!

I stayed at the Marriott Chateau Champlain. It is pretty close but kinda really expensive and super nice and fancy (my fiance and I get his mom's discount so we always stay at Marriott hotels whenever we go anywhere!)

I stayed at La Tour Centerville. A small suite was $95. taxes included. It wasn't fancy but was very clean. I couldn't have asked for better service. Also it is directly across the street from the consulate. I looked out my window onto Rene Leveque (spelling) Blvd and right across the street was the consulate building. It took me less than 2 minutes to walk there. Only thing I suggest is DO NOT go to the Chinese food restaurant downstairs. Very over priced and not very good.

I'm also from Niagara Falls, we are driving up on the 26th, we are staying at Hotel Dauphin, which is a nice hotel, and it also has computers in the room. They also have a continental breakfast. Tbe hotel is only a 10 min walk to the embassy.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express - Centreville (not the tacky one in Chinatown). The front desk staff was extremely friendly and bilingual. And most importantly the hotel was clean. I paid in advance for my room ($109 not including tax) and it came with a little kitchen (which I didn't asked for but it was nice to have a fridge). Like most Holiday Inn, free breakfast was served

It was approx. 15-20 mins. walk to the US embassy. Best of luck at your interview!

I stayed there too Think mine was 125.00 or so.

Mine had a bedroom, a office , a bathroom and a kitchen. I would have loved to be there for longer

We stayed at the Delta Montreal and got a super cheap deal from hotwire. try those places...it was a 5 minute walk from the consulate

We stayed at the Hyatt that we booked on Hotwire.com. It was very nice, had a pool and was only a 5 minute walk to the Consulate, 10 minute walk to Old Montreal and Notre Dame and 10 minute walk to the train station!

We got it for around $80, which was well worth it!
